Good Samaritan’s Community Workshop Series “Mas Vale Prevenir Que Lamentar” (Better to Prevent than Lament) addresses issues that impact the immigrant community. The series invites experts in various fields to provide pertinent information and answer questions on themes including immigrant rights, community resources, and money management.

May 13, 2008 (Tuesday) 6:30-8:30pm

Money Management: The Money Management workshop, in collaboration with community partner agencies, provides tools for budgeting and saving so that families can become self-sufficient. (Dates to be announced)
Immigrant Women’s Rights: Immigrant Women’s Rights workshops provide general information about the rights and resources available to survivors of domestic violence. One of the components of the workshops includes learning about VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), U-Visas and the visa application process. (Dates to be announced)
