Good Samaritan Child Development Center teachers are caring and sensitive to the needs of each individual child. Our commitment includes the understanding that a child exists within the social and cultural worlds of home and community. Our teachers are stable and professional; between them, two of our staff members have been at the Child Development Center for more than ten years. In addition to our teaching staff, we have a bilingual state-certified paraprofessional, a bilingual mental health consultant, a family advocate, and a wealth of committed, sensitive volunteers.

Teresa Carias was trained in child development, is a certified teacher and administrator, and has worked for 15 years in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is bilingual and highly experienced in working with children of diverse cultures. For the past ten years, Ms. Carias has worked intensively with San Francisco’s newly-arrived immigrant Latino children.
