THE GOAL
Good Samaritan’s goal is to be the go-to source for caregivers interested in guiding their family to success but who face significant obstacles in their way.
OUR APPROACH
Our bilingual family advocates may partner with an individual family on an on-going basis to help them increase their family’s well-being. Our team is focused on building trusting relationships with families, helping them access community resources, and guiding them as they navigate complex institutional systems, e.g. schools, the courts, etc.
OUR SERVICES
Family advocacy is available to caregivers who have concrete needs for short-term support from a member of our team. For example, families have partnered with a family advocate to prepare for a court date, complete a housing application process, address a concern at their child’s school, and more.
Case management is available to families grappling with longer-term challenges. A team member may be available to a family for several meetings and conversations over the course of 3-18 months. An intensive service, case management allows our family advocates to collaborate with caregivers/parents in creating goals, identifying strengths, and finding integrated, long-term supports.
